Great Meet Today!

Maya had a great gymnastics meet today!  Last week she was finally able to pull off a complete bar routine and improved upon it this week finishing in 5th place and taking home her first medal for bars.  She got a medal on floor, as well, for 3rd place.  Her vault was her best ever with an amazing score of 9.7, which meant she was the vault champion and got a 1st place medal!  After struggling for a few weeks at the beginning of the season to get an all-around score of 31 to qualify for state, she finally did it a couple of meets ago and this week she was able to improve upon it by a full 3 points.  Her all-around score was 34.3 and earned her a medal for 4th place! 

Update:  Wow, we just found out that Maya broke the Level 4 vault record at her gym!  We're so proud of her!
